Different people define adulthood in different ways. For some, your 19th birthday marks your passage into the adult world (and the liquor store of course). For others, it's marriage, or having children. For me, I think having Lexi certainly was a harsh reminder (especially harsh at 3am) that the carefree and leisure days of my young adulthood were over. Next on my list would be paying a mortgage and being a homeowner.
Yup, I'm officially all grown up now.
We have finally found a house of our own. I would say the house and property itself is more than we could have hoped for. I knew the second we walked up the driveway and saw the ravine and stream at the back of the property that Doug would be completely sold. I won't bore you with all the details of the place, but it's on the Coquitlam/Burnaby border, is 2400 square feet and backs onto Burnaby Mountain. We are in love. We get possession the beginning of December, just in time to spend Christmas in our new home. I can't wait!
