Our Little Naturalist

It's amazing to me the sheer number of words Lexi is able to remember these days, usually after hearing them only once. Pappy and Nana will be so proud...

Words

There has been much going on here lately, so I apologize for not posting. I did want to come back to tell you how much Lexi's language has exploded over the last 2 months. I cannot even count how many words she knows and uses now, so I'll include a few choice phrases and gems:

- "I'm not done yet" said whilst on her new potty (which she has not used yet)

- "No, me" - her first 2 word sentence

- "shit" - opps, that's Mommy's fault after she dropped something breakable on the floor

- robot, moom (for moon), coffee, most animals including elephant, raff (giraffe), chicken, puppy (which has finally replaced "ah ah" for dog)

- many names for people including Auntie, Uncle, Abby, Papa, Nana, Hayden, Jessie, Lindsay, almost Oma, Bubba, Joe

Now I'm just waiting for "Mom, can I borrow the car?"

Showing off my new skills

Lexi is waving "bye bye" and "hi" in the last week. It's amazing how quick they learn at this age. Lexi's Nana is coming for a visit tonight so Mommy and Daddy can go out and enjoy a nice dinner. Every year Doug and I go out to a restaurant during Dine Out Vancouver week. This year, it will be the Boathouse Restaurant in Port Moody. Ah, wine, steak, an uninterrupted meal with adult conversation... Who are we kidding, we all know we'll end up talking about Lexi the whole time...
