The last week has been a whirlwind of visitors and travel. Jan (Nana) and Alan have returned from Nova Scotia, so Lexi's Nana was itching for a visit and some cuddles. Lexi was thrilled to see her (and I was thrilled to have an extra set of hands and a babysitter while I got a funky new haircut!) We headed off to Victoria on Saturday and came home Monday.
Lexi seems to love ferry rides. We went to the Pacific Buffet for brunch on the way over, and Lex fell asleep in the Bjorn as you can see above.
I've gotta admit, I was nervous about Lexi's first night away from home. Those that know Lexi know she isn't always the best sleeper. Lo and behold, the first night at her Nana's house she slept like a champ in her Pack n' Play.
Lexi got to meet lots of relatives! She met her great-grandpa Bubba for the first time, and saw her Gran-nana for the first time since May.

Looks like she might also have snuck her first taste of beer when Mommy wasn't looking....

We also got to see Grandpa Lawrence for breakfast at Floyd's on Sunday morning, and then a visit from my friend Ali that afternoon. Sunday night we headed to the Miers for a huge family dinner. Aside from visiting with Grandpa Bob and Grandma Gail, Lexi got to meet all her aunts and uncles from the Miers side - Uncles Josh, Zac, Jamie, and Sandy, and Aunts Halcyon and Jen, as well as Lara, Scott and Michelle. It was a busy night but she did pretty well before the complete meltdown she had in the car on the way home. The ferry trip home today was beautiful. We saw a rainbow on the was out to Swartz Bay (so I took the opportunity to teach Lexi "Somewhere over the Rainbow"), and Doug put her in the Bjorn so we could go up on deck through Active Pass. She loved it!
