I've been playing around in Pisaca lately and just learned how to make my own collage blog headers. Lexi and I took some pics of us goofing off yesterday so I decided to test it out. The last photo got cropped off in the process, but cute overall.
I've decided to start ANOTHER blog. This blog was started more as a family update kinda thing. I have always kept it private (non-web searchable). Since I've started doing more crafty stuff and working with etsy, I'd like to have a place to share my work and ideas that's open to the public - and more separate from the family stuff.
Sooooo, I'm pleased to announce the launch of www.ducklyandjuicy.blogspot.com
I hope you come visit (and follow) to see what I've been up to!

DIY Nursery Project 2.0 - Contoured Change Pad Cover
Things are slowly coming together in the baby's room. The wall border has been ordered, and after some thinking, we (I) decided against purchasing a bedding set. I've been experimenting with sewing a few things (mostly baby related), and since the change pad covers we had from before were pretty girly, I decided to try my hand at making my own. I thought the brown minky fabric would feel cozy and soft against a naked baby bum. It turned out OK for a first attempt, and I didn't add nearly enough elastic in the casing the first two times, but with some fiddling, I think it turned out pretty well!
